Is there an easier way to manage layers?
When I create a new layer I have to go through the full list of Layer Combinations to set visibility etc, and in particular to set the intersection numbers.
This has always been a bit of bugbear for me, even when there were only a dozen or so Layer Combos in the default template. Now the UKI version has over 30, and I have probably added a similar number, so it takes ages.
1. Would it not be possible to copy a layer, taking up it's characteristics, from which I could then make a few select changes as need be.
2. Why is it not possible to (as default) set the same intersection number for all layer combos? I rarely want different intersection behavior in differing views.
Incidentally, When I do change all the numbers I generally select the layer combo at the to of the list, place my cursor after the number (which is "1" by default) and rather than deleting it, I add another digit making it "11" say, then I can hit the down arrow, hit "1" again and repeat to the bottom of the list: it's the quickest way I have found to change all those numbers - but it feels silly - like an embarrassing workaround.
So is there a better way? Can the dialogue be improved?
