Having become very excited about the prospect of Revision Management in release 18, and only just getting round to learning how to use it, I discover that the process is linked to Issue Management - which makes perfect sense.
However, I was disappointed to see that Issue Management doesn't appear to handle the drawing issue process that is an industry standard, at least here in the UK - unless I'm missing something. By that I mean the matrix format Issue Register, which most of us generate in Excel or by similar means and which lists all the recipients together with the most recent issues. So it's possible to see at a glance what has been issued to whom and when.
See attached example.
It's hard to encourage staff to embark on another layer of administration, if it can't replace the one we already use (and on many projects are required to comply with).
I'd be interested to hear the view of other users on this.
