Placing external Hotlinked modules???

First of all is it possible to place a hotlinked module into a .pln even though that module wasn't created in that .pln file?

When I try and place a new hotlinked module and get to the palette that says "Choose one from the existing Hotlinks of this project or click New Hotlink to establish a new one."

I click "New Hotlink" which allows me to go and find my module that I want to attach. However, all the files that are .mod files are all greyed out therefore I am not able to select any of them. This is where I get stuck...

To get around this I have to open ArchiCAD in a new instance, open the .mod file, copy it and paste it into my current.pln file. Then I have to make a new Hotlink module just so it can be connected to the file.

If there is a away to get around this???

At the bottom of the menu you use to browse for external files, just change the type of files it is looking for to MOD. It's probably set to PLN or something else.

For some reason I can't choose an extension. The only option I have is to check something that says "Open in Single Story Mode".

Sorry I take that back. For some reason the place where you change your file extension is at the top instead of the bottom of the palette.

All I had to do was change the extension - "Enable: Module File"

Thanks so much!
