Strange dialogue box warning??

Hi all,

I've started working on an existing ArchiCAD file as part of a group assignment, I started off (and so it seems, foolishly) by purging all the unused layers, i've never done this before but there were so many layers i thought id give it a go to make my job easier. But now when i try to put in a wall i get this dialogue box popping up and if i click "continue" i can place the wall but it will then disappear, however it still shows up in the 3D view but not in the plan view, i've trying turning on all the layers thinking it might be putting it on an odd layer but nothing, any ideas?

Lockers,

You are placing the wall out of the range of the cut plane for that view/storey check the cut plane and wall settings.

Lockers:

This is not a layer issue, but a Story or Floor Plan Cut Plane issue. In the Wall's Settings dialog box, make sure that the Home Story setting is to the Current Story, the Show on Stories is set to Home Story Only and/or the Floor Plan Display is set to Symbolic, any of these settings can cause this warning to appear. Generally, alt-clicking (or opt-clicking Mac) an existing wall will pick up its settings so the wall you create will behave as the existing wall.
