Tracking deleted items/objects with change manager

Is there any way to associate the deletion of an item/object with a particular change in the change manager? For instance, let's say that we're making revisions and we need to delete a door. When you delete it from the model, it's like it was never there, which means that you can't assign the "change" to a change in the change manager. However, in terms of workflow, it'd be helpful if we could assign the deletion to a change. Is there any way to do that?

I don't use the change manager so I could be off the mark here.
But can you associate the change with the wall instead?

We discovered you can use this feature of Archicad to do what you want: https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/guides/archicad-20/archicad-20-reference-guide/views_of_the_virtua...
What you do is:
1. Go to "Renovation Filter Options"
2. Duplicate the "New Construction" Renovation Filter.
3. Change the duplicated filter name to something like "New Construction - Deleted Objects". Don't worry about any other aspects of the filter.
4. When you want to 'delete' a door (but keep track of it and have it show on the door schedule as deleted), simply open the door's Settings, scroll down to "ID and Categories" and look for the line item "Show on Renovation Filter". Usually this item will be set to "All Relevant Filters", but change it to the filter you created in Step 3 above.
5. If you go back to your plans, if the renovation filter is set to "New Construction", the door will not show. If you change the filter to "New Construction - Deleted Objects" it will show.
6. So now you have 'deleted' the door from your floorplans and other drawings, but it still exists in the model. Therefore it will still appear in your door schedules and lists.
7. Use the features of interactive schedules to have the 'deleted' door appear on the door schedule, but not as a door to be provided by the Contractor.
8. If you don't want the door to appear on the door schedule, simply filter it out based on the Renovation Filter.
9. This technique can be used with the Change Manager so that a 'deleted' door is assigned to a change and you place a visible Change Marker associated with the door so you know where the 'deleted' door existed on your drawings. Very useful if you need to audit your changes.
