Hi there.
Since Uniclass2 was released, we've begun to think about it implementation in ArchiCAD environment. Especially, we wanted to unify corporate building materials, composites and profiles according to it and even to make this unifying template as a national standard in case of succeed.
But we've faced with a difficulty around AC attributes - how to determine and describe them correctly using U2.
The main trouble, is that there is no Materials table (Ml) in Uniclass. So, there is a first question - should we make our own interpretation for this section of U2 for ArchiCAD Building Materials or to wait a future releases and adopt them to ours realities.
And the second question about relationship between tables in U2 and attributes inside AC: have we understood correctly, that Materials Table lies "deeper" then Products and Products Table "includes" materials (in a higher LOD cases)?
Seems like true, and even more, ArchiCAD attributes structure describes relationship directly in such way, while Composites consists from Building Materials. So, then, Composites like a Pr and Building Materials like a Ml table. It's quite easy to make a U2-like structure for BM inside AC because it last release has a really good feature - IDs for Building Materials. But there is no such thing for Composites. So, how to solve this situation sleeker? Because, the first idea was just to put classification codes directly into composites names.
We'll be very thankful to receive an answer for this problem. Thank You in advance.
