I've heard a few occasions of offices using ArchiCAD as a drafting table. That is clearly a sign of an office (or management) taking BIM (or even CAD) not seriously. ArchiCAD is an expensive software and if all you do is drafting, you could have used some cheap or free AutoCAD clone too.
But if you have ArchiCAD, at least start to get serious about using the basics correctly. Maybe some additional training or a decent in-house demonstration could really help to get you going again to embrace BIM.
It is really about improving your design and building process: more productive drawing (by correct modeling), more effective communication with compelling and clear 3D images, more effective collaboration with BIM Server and openBIM exchange.
Unfortunately, comparing to other CAD or BIM software, there are not that many books available that give a complete project-based approach to how to work inside ArchiCAD.
