deleting layers from exploded Autocad dwg

I like the new feature that places the new layers at the bottom of the layers list. but i do not understand why it is impossible to delete them.
The delete button is grayed, why?

Interesting... allthough i did not delete the dwg file, i just selected "Keep drawing primitives only" when i exploded the dwg.
Anyway i deleted the layer through the attribute manager, but i think there should be the option of the simple and plain delete through the layers tab.
