wall schedule, surface area issue

Hi all,

i' m trying to create a wall schedule for project BoQ's, i need the schedule to display wall length, height and surface area of the outside face.

the problem is that whatever area field i've tried it does not display the right sqm according the length of the reference line and the height of the wall, due to some interaction with other walls i assume

Is there a way to overcome this problem and set it to display the surface area disregarding other elements??

thank u!

Operating system used: Windows

Hi,

You can instruct Archicad to return the Surface Area of the Wall Outside Face (Gross).

Here you have a good indication of what each wall listing returns.

hi,

i' ve already tried that, but the gross surface area sqm is also not right!

In fact it returns a number that is bigger than the length * height than i can not figure out

hi,

You may try to double check the value of one specific wall by using an associative label on it and with the same "Surface area of the wall outside face (gross)" parameter. If that value is correct, then you will have to check your schedule scheme settings.

If the value is not correct (length x height) then you can check if you have SEO's active, or the wall is cropped etc.

The way the walls trim with other walls will affect the surface area when you look at each wall area individually.

But the overall total of all walls should be correct.

Well almost!

A problem has been identified in 29 (and 28) and it has been reported.

See this post for more information ...

In the scheme of thing the error will probably be negligible and you should always be allowing a wastage percentage on any quantities.
