Is Ecodesigner similar to Nemetschek Energie?

Here's the link form the Romanian site:

For me, the Allplan solution is the best, but i don't want to buy (and change the entire workflow...) the whole package just for this...

Eodesigner is a relatively new program so not many people have experience with it. And it is doubtful if there are very many people who are familiar with the Nemetschek software.
So do not be surprised if there will be very few answers.

I know that, I was hoping someone form GS would be kind enough to answer.

Anyway, the localized version of Allplan offers many useful options to architects, including this module.

This particular module gives you an Energy Performance Certificate of the building, and it's a legal requirement for all new and restored buildings in Romania to have such a certificate.

Also there is an useful option when you add a localized material list, which contains all materials according to romanian bill of quantities description (i'm not sure I did the translation correctly) - inside AllManager module.

Done some research on the net and found that Graphisoft had a solution for cost estimating and uniformat (available for US).

What happened?

Is there a equivalent for europe for the uniformat?

which of the vico solutions was the graphisoft estimator?

I don't know if there is an equivalent for Europe.

I think the Estimator is now called Vico Estimator 2009.
Here you can see product demos of the various Vico applications:

Thank you for the link.

I have downloaded the Virtual Construction Interactive Training Guide and I'm amazed. Based on Archicad 11, the 2008 version of Vico Constructor is practically Archicad on steroids.

First impressions: Very good implementation of structural and MEP add-ons and, most importantly, a very good and accurate model-based quantity takeoff and schedule information, with 5D documenting capabilities.
Truly BIM al the way!

Love it, I only wish they will implement some European standards, to make it truly useful for us.

Yes, it is ArchiCAD with a lot of additional stuff.

I think this Vico is an American company so probably their main focus is USA customers.
