BIMcloud install stuck at "Configure Manager" step

I'm trying to install BIMcloud Basic using BIMcloud-2020.3.DMG on an iMac running macOS 10.14.6. Whenever I get to the "Configure BIMcloud Manager" step it just thinks and thinks, never actually does anything. I let it sit for 5 days and still hasn't made any progress. I've cancelled the install, uninstalled BIMcloud, then re-installed it, at least 5 times now.

Hello cgrimley,

I'm sorry to read about your issue.

Based on my experience this is caused by wrong network settings - BIMcloud Configurator cannot resolve the name or port of the computer, therefore stucks in an infinite loop.

Please:
  • Check in Terminal if your IP address is correct with using nslookup host.
  • Check in System Preferences if your computer name is valid
  • Check in System Preferences if your computer name in all related settings.

If you have no luck with it, I suggest to consult with an IT professional, and if they cannot find a network issue, then please contact your local GRAPHISOFT representative for support.
