Embedded objects, teamwork

I usually embed custom library parts (not in the standard BIMServer Libraries) into the plans before I share them on the server. Some of them are from version 11, and been dragged over to 12 and 13 version of PLN file.

The strange thing is that although it shows up in the list of embedded library parts, and it is OK on my computer, on the other team member's computer it has the missing library part "dot" instead of the symbol and missing in 3D.

The Library Manager shows it in the list of embedded parts, yet it is not showing up correctly.

Anybody experienced similar thing? Any standard remedies?

I've seen those dots when the custom library part called part of an older AC library.
For example I used the 3D text from the standard 10(?) library in a custom sign object and in later AC versions saw dots. In this instance since I discovered the GDL for 3D text is simple I replaced the Call statement with scripted letters and the custom sign objects are still working in 14.

The macros for the parts I used were not in the migration libraries.

Could this be it?

no macro call in the gdl call. mystery ensues.
workaround:
create a container for the embedded objects,
upload to the bimserver library,
add to the project libraries,
send and receive changes on the other computer.
no scientific explanation, but seems to work.
I believe the guid type hierarchy wasn't register correctly.
we use the same server libraries and the build number is the same too.
