Layout changes not sent in Send&Receive, and unable to edit them

We are working on a big project, in teamwork (BIM saas, AC29) and yesterday I had to create some new layouts including new worksheets. I didn't realise that even though I sent and received the new layouts along with the new worksheets and views, those weren't sent. 

So today I kept working, and the thumbnails of those unsent elements were green as if I just created them, BUT they were not reserved by me. Now I can't reserve them or edit them. And when I send and receive, those are still unsent. 

At some point in this process I was working offline, without realising it. Now that I am back online, it doesn't make much sense that I partially cannot send some things while the rest is sent. 

The solution that I will follow is to save a pln as a backup, leave the project and rejoin, recreating/copying from the pln all the lost changes. 

Any other thoughts? Do you have an explanation on why this is happening?

If we experince Teamwork problems, the top solution is clearing the local teamwork file (same as leaving the project).

That's true, but this will also result losing all the unsent changes. So we would still need to save the pln, and recreate/copy all the lost changes. I am trying to understand the reason of this happening, and how to manage to send changes. Thank you though! You are right that it is not necessary to leave the project, instead I can just clear the local data.

There have been multiple reports of difficulties while working in AC 29 and teamwork.

As an Archicad rep told me earlier this week:

1. Send/Receive as offten as possible
2. Release all itens that you don't need
3. Do not keep messages hangin around. If needed, say No, and when you are able to do so release the itens.
4. Backup your TW projects to PLN every day
