We have an ongoing problem which is becoming a real nuisance. I am sure it is something to do with having the correct combination of reservations/drawing ID subset settings.
Demo of our drawing number system; 1107/R/001
1107 = Job Number
R = Means Record/Survey Drawing
001,002,003,etc = Drawing Number
[see jpeg]
In the layout book the field which contains the drawing number "/R/001" and so on, will not remember alterations after closing a teamworks file and then reopening.
The way our drawing revisions work, we manually enter "Rev. A" or "Rev.B" etc after "/R/001". Teamworks will not remember changes to the "Rev" and reverts back to an earlier entry. So we have a situation where even though as far as we are concerned we might have previously published "Rev. E" of drawing 1107/R/001, teamworks will continue to reload 'Rev A'!!
I hope that makes sense?
Notes;
-The reason why we include the "Rev" number after the drawing number is so that when the drawing is published, the revision number appears in the file name (PDF & DWG).
-I have tried reserving drawing>subset>subet>layout book, all the way up the tree and then making changes with no success.
-Interestingly, I have also tried changing the setting of a subset folder and how it auto ID's drawing numbers - following a close/open - the setting had reverted back to auto numbering instead of "do not include this layout in the ID sequence".
-I can make changes to the drawing name fine. It remembers alterations after a close/open.
HELP! I am wasting hours cross referencing what revision number we are ACTUALLY on compared with what revision teamworks still THINKS we are on!
