TeamWork clickon and drag and object to reserve the object

I have used teamwork since version 10 and I just now noticed that if I click on an object and drag it the object is now reserved...

How long has this been a feature?

Is there anyway to turn this feature off.?

Reservation assistant is available for BIMcloud and BIMcloud Software as a Service, a feature added with Archicad 22. 

You can turn it of in Options / Work Environment / Data Safety & Integrity... with this checkbox (available only when you are connected to a Teamwork project):

I assume that it needs to be turned off prior to teamworking the project for it to be off by default to all team members.
is this correct?

This setting doesn't connect to the individual project, but the subscription type of BIMcloud is used. You might edit the default Work Environment setting when you deploy Archicad, but other than that each individual can turn auto-reserve on or off, whenever they want, you can't centrally control it.
