from AC13 to AC15

Hi guys,
I'm still working on AC13.
I'd like to pass gradually to AC15.
I'm working on several projects under AC13 bimserver.
Is it safe to install AC15 bimserver migrating all projects actually on AC13 bimserver to AC15 bimserver? I understood it is not possible to keep both of the bimservers.
Is it possible working with AC13 using AC15 bimserver?
Thanks

Very cool. I thought we were supposed to uninstall the 13 module before adding 15.

...I'm running projects in AC13 and AC14 and want to start one in AC15...what I gather from this post is that I can have all three modules running on the BIMserver....the ACwiki is very "should not" but not "can not"...so I guess it works with all three modules but it is not recommended...
We can't migrate any of the projects so that's not an option.

Hi Mats,

Can you give a link to the article with the "should not"? The idea of the modular BIM Server is that you can run the modules for different versions as shown in Laszlo's screenshot. But, you should not be running multiple BIM Servers (which host the modules) on the same computer - and you should of course be running the latest version of BIM Server, since only it will support the latest modules. But, maybe I missed something.

Cheers,
Karl

I must have misinterpreted the message on the wiki. I can't find the particlar text I was referring to...so now when the team is at home lounging/watching TV/eating dinner with the family...I'll add the 15 module on our virtualized BIM server.
Thank for putting me on the straight route Karl!

Your firm is lucky to have someone who never leaves the office. 🙂

Hope it all goes smoothly. 😉
