Renovation Status for Markers

Starting with Archicad 29 Section, Elevation, Interior Elevation, Detail, and Worksheet markers can now receive their own Renovation Status, just like all other documentation and construction elements.

This makes it possible to control the visibility of markers directly via the Renovation Filter. For example, a new construction section marker for an addition or renovation of a building can be hidden using the Existing Renovation Filter instead of a layer combination.

You can set the Renovation Status of a Marker via the Renovation Palette or the Marker Settings.

Additionally, you can adjust the appearance of markers by enabling the graphic overrides in the Renovation Filter.

  • Document > Renovation > Renovation Filter Options... > Annotation Elements

You can also exclude markers from being overridden by the Renovation Filter by enabling the Do Not Override Markers option.

Note: When you migrate a project, all markers will automatically receive the Renovation Status Existing.

If elements with Existing status are hidden in the Renovation Filter, an additional linked marker with a visible Renovation Status is automatically created. This means that a source marker can have multiple linked markers. This ensures that, even after migration, all important information continues to be displayed in views and layouts.
