A masterpiece RENDERING in LW

As you can see (my attachment) I am a guru in Lightworks renderings. Way much better than Dwight. I used only archicad+lightworks for this picture and minor postwork in photoshop. But let me tell you one thing guys, one thing is for sure: lightworks suck, you cant even use plants or trees in this freaking program. Artlantis, formZ, accurender and so many other programs they suck TOO. Cinema 4d is only good for interior scenes. If you want to do professional renderings try only 3ds Max, Viz, Vray and maybe Lightwave too. Thats it simple and honest.

After that, I feel that the learning curve of the very best rendering applications is so great that it begins to interfere in the doing of architecture - the reason we are using software at all.
True. That is exactly why I like to work with LW. It is primitive (ACad implant) comparing to stand-alone renderers but because of that you can focus on modeling which should be our priority. You can see so much excelent presentations of very poor architecture these days so it is really not about the software.
From the other hand - superior quality of the newest renderers is just enticing and can be inspirational in our work as well, so I think balance is the key.

BTW: Great one, Justin.

Thx Tigr,
Interesting theory on renderers but IME, texturing & rendering doesn't happen until after the model is made. If a structure is not acceptable as a basic model, then no amount of good illustrator work will make it 'standup'. Sure it helps, but if it only looks good when you stand on your head & squint at it sideways, it just isn't good work. A good illustrator will tell you that their work is made so much easier when the architecture speaks for itself & their work is just purely putting it into context.
My preference for higher end renderers is mainly because I outgrew your more basic type packages that just don't light a model accurately enough. The step up was a bit daunting, but with a basic understanding of your Artlantis's, etc it's not insurmountable.

But hey, it's just what worked for me I guess...
I always find poolside renderings without people a little creepy. Sort of like a picture taken right after the nuclear radiation clears.
