ADOBE HOUSES(MUD PLASTER)

Anonymous
Not applicable
hello Everyone, Can anybody tell me how to do Adobe house(mudplaster) in Archicad, I have archicad 9, and artlantis 4.5, I tryed a lot even with archiwall tool but it wont workout the way i want it, Means every corner should be softer and no sharp edges, so what i did is a simple rendering and do touchups in Photoshop, for presentations, But I think there must be another way to do this in Archicad.

I would guess you could have a few standard corner and coping pieces you would use to subtract from the walls using SEO. If perfect cylindrical faces for the corners are good enough then you can create those operator objects using ArchiCAD slabs (check 'Object Making without GDL' in the ArchiCAD Help menu), for wildly irregular shapes perhaps objects created with the mesh or better some modelling plugin like Archiforma or the C4D one. I would first try cyilindrical faces and leaving the surface irregularity to the texture in the renderer. I haven't ever tried anything even close to this so if you come up with something please do post a picture.

For floor plans and sections I guess a Patch (which I never used) here and there would do it.

Plan:

Use polygon wall for wall joints, curve the sides as needed

Tops of walls:

Profiler created profiles

Openings:

Well, here is THE problem; you will need custom reveals.

The time it will take you is at least double the usual, and there will be MUCH more manual coordination than usual.

Good luck
