I couldn't get this gizmo to work, can anyone tell me if it is indeed active and working?

BTW - This tool, as documented, does not look like it is a big improvement over the past. That's too bad because this is a function that could be helpful to image presentations.

Yes, for me this function was unreliable in all AC since implementing in 7.0.
With simple scene - it works fine, after making photo in real environment and placing camera withAlign view result was unpredictable.
I recommend Artlantis R🙂

I’m using it for the first time on a renovation project now (see image) it works reasonably well, I used it to get the camera view similar to that of the photos I had, then overlaid them in Photoshop and used layer’s masking to show some elements from the photo in the rendering (landscaping & sidewalks) I only needed to do the PhotoShop work once, then whenever I render a new design alternative I just paste it in the Photoshop file.
I think it’s accuracy depends on just picking distinctive points on the photo, I think one far away one and one close one works best, but haven’t really experimented enough with this..

I place an image onto the floor plan, select it, invoke tool and it says that I need to.... (place an image on the floor plan, select it)?!? Version 10?
Which image format is a sure thing on the Mac version of the software?

You know I spend a good deal of time looking at renderings. The "we left the sprinklers on too long" effect on the street made me laugh. It tells one of Dwight's stories. Tire tracks defining the curve and slope. That effect would be murder to replicate in the texture maps. Nice rendering.
