Bug: Sketch rendering AC10 Macintosh

If I start to do a sketch rendering, but stop the rendering before it is complete (because, for example, I realize I left the background image turned on when I want a white backgroiund), I am unable to do any additional sketch renderings until I quit from ArchiCAD and re-open the file. Before I quit, all I get for a rendering is a blank white page (as if the previous "stop" command is still being applied).

This happens on an Intel Mac as well as on a G4 Mac.

Workaround is to quit ArchiCAD, then re-open the file.

Tested your bug on G5 2X2 and no problem with stopping and re-rendering.

That's interesting. Thanks for testing it.

I can reproduce the problem with a new file containing nothing but a slab, 6 trees, and 2 benches from the standard AC10 library.

What do you suppose is the difference?

I suppose that the difference is that I am an alien being who can postitively influence the performance of a computer with animal magnetism waves emanating from my forehead, between my anthers.

And you are not.

In that case, I need to knoww how to join you in your alienhood.

Something is wrong with your installation. Rebuild preferences. If that doesn't work, re-install Archicad.

What is the amount of RAM in your computer?

I doubt that the problem is with preferences, since I have dulicated the problem on two different computers (a Mactel laptop and a G4 Mac). Both computers have 2GB of RAM.

I did report it using a bug report, and someone at Graphisoft has "confirmed" it, whatever that means.

I listed it here because, until I realized what was happening and found the workaround, I thought that sketch rendering didn't work at all. I assume there are others who are having the same problem.
