Another "Common Practice"....to run the walls by and put the slab inside. This also has the advantage....that stairwells clean up.Matthew, the balloon framing doesn't bother me as the wall / floor junction is covered up (refined) in section anyway and shown as intended in detail, whether balloon or platform framed. Your point about the stairwells, and where an interior balcony or loft occur is well made. I believe your approach is better and will put to use. Thank you and Dwight for the ideas.
