Changing the insertion angle of bitmap trees

Anonymous
Not applicable
I'm considering using bitmap trees for a series of renderings done from different viewpoints. I notice that if I place the trees while in a 3D window, the cutout aligns to face the camera. This is pretty nifty. But what about other views, where the cutouts will be seen at an odd angle? I can't find a way to change the cutout angle in the dialog window. There is an object angle field, but this does not seem to have the desired affect of rotating the billboard relative the to ground plane.

TIA

I thought this was more automatic, that the tree would rotate when the camera would change. Testing with Tree Bitmap 16, I found that changing the rotation angle by any amount rotated the tree to face the current camera.

It's not automatic for me. Why?
Is there any setting to change to have it automatic?

You need to rebuild your 3D window for the objects to face the camera again, or just select all objects, go into settings, don't change anything, just press OK, this will force a rebuild too.
