Hi everyone please help. I'm new to playing with 3d and fly-throughs in archicad 27. I am playing with a backyard pool in an enclosed courtyard however I just can't get the sun to move to above the pool or turn the shadows off for when I create the fly through small movie
Please help it's driving me insane that the pool is constantly shadowing making it look so dark
Any help or suggested reading material would be greatly appreciated as with my searching google isn't really helping me

So this is a tricky question. There are several places to look to toggle sun settings and shadows.
View/3D View Options/3D Projection Settings...
View/3D View Options/3D Styles...
When you place an Elevation/Section Marker, in the Elevations Selection Settings/Model Appearance you have options to change the sun and shadow settings for that.
If I'm going to start to try and solve your question, I would start looking at the settings for View/3D View Options/3D Styles... Locate the Style you're using and open the settings and change the shadow settings accordingly. When you're creating your 3D fly-through, make sure the 3D style you changed is selected.
Instead of changing the settings, you might go through the different 3D Styles that are available and see if any of those work for you. Not all of them have the sun and shadows turned on. You also might try and save some custom 3D Styles. Your choice. When you go to save out your 3D Fly-Though just make sure the 3D Style is set to the one you want. It should record with the one you chose.
Finally, to change the location of the sun you'll want to open the View/3D View Options/3D Projection Settings... Here you can change the Sun Position... and change the Altitude and Asimuth of the sun's positioning.
Well, I think this is a good place for you to start trying to figure out how to adjust these settings. I hope one works for you. If not let us know and we'll see if we can't help you further. Good luck.
