Can someone please tell me what the difference is in Generating a 3D view in the Photorendering window vs the 3D window?

When you generate in the 3D window, you get either an Internal engine cartoon-like rendering or an OpenGL cartoon-like rendering. Wireframe, solid, colors, etc. Cartoon.

When you render in the Photorendering window you get an alleged photorendering with the LightWorks engine or an Internal Phong-based rendering engine. This is an extra step beyond the OpenGL view.

These take longer to make while the OpenGL views are much faster to create. In an animation, say, you might consider giving the client an approximation of his job quickly rather than an excruciatingly slow photorendered animation.

So if I do the rendered option- everytime I change something in my model and go to see that view again it is going to update and render the image?
