heh Pres H see the select objects window will be open
ok see what is the name of the object who you import
go down you need find the SUN light and SUN target
select them and DEL them
after that again pres H and selects one object from menu and pres the ZOOM Extents selection button on right dawn menu intro the 3DS MAX
............

This might be a ignorant question...but does you 3D max file have a .max extension or .3ds? ArchiCAD will only import the .3ds file.

And the Cinema4D-tutorial is mostly usable for max as well:
You can't generate a *.max file from ArchiCAD, but *.3ds files can be read just fine and with texture mapping intact.

for the ArchiCAD import wizard.
