Help with textures....Archicad to 3ds max

This post would probably do better over on the 3DS or VRay forums...

Anyway, have you properly constructed your materials for VRay? Have you checked your texture scaling and mapping type?

An image of what you are getting would be a million words.

What version of ArchiCAD are you using?
What file format are you using to export to 3ds Max? (some formats don't export texture maps)

You need to give more information to enable people to help you.
And as noted, images or screencaps would also be useful.

If you're on ArchiCAD 21 or below, might I suggest you look into getting the DIN3D plugin that allows you to export to 3ds Max and keeps all your texture maps and settings, layers, stories and even allows you to update the 3ds Max imported model.
Alternatively you could try either the TwinMotion FBX format or OBJ format both of which keep textures as well.

Hi,
you could try using the Mirza Link Manager for linking your model into 3ds Max:

It uses .obj file format which is good at handling textures and materials.

I'm using Archicad for modeling the objects and after that I export the file as 3ds. to 3d studio max. But i have problems when i attach textures to the model I'm not getting the original look of the texture but just a mix of colors from the texture and when i render it with vray the rendering is horrible. Please does anyone can explain it to me?

Might it be possible to get a script running on the forum to check for when this happens?

Python - SQL
