The simple answer is "no."
Artlantis is designed to create beautiful renderings simply and makes certain functional compromises to do so. It is a medium-level product. You can quickly achieve good renderings with Artlantis and it is a good teaching tool because of its simple interface and preview capability. However, to mention only two shortcomings:
-- Artlantis lacks the material surfacing sophistication that Max users can access.
-- its radiosity, while fast and beautiful, lacks control over "caustic" and other subtle light energy effects that the higher quality rendering applications have.
