Hello,
I am using ArchiCAD for a long time, and i was quite happy with its own render(lightworks), but I got Artlantis, and as I can see, it is mouch better.
My question is how to learn Artlantis, maybe some tutorial?
thx

As a long time Artlantis user, I suggest that after you do the basic Artlantis tutorial that you just play with it.

Make small renderings. The real-time preview helps a lot in anticipating the result.

Artlantis' user forums (abvent's website) are quite helpful too.

Videotutorials You'll find at
http://www.artlantis.com/community/tutorials/#
or in your Tutorials folder after installation.
They are quite useful - after looking at them only practice is needed...

I need some things about ArchiCAD+Artlantis...

Is it posible to make renders with Artlantis which are as good as in max?

The simple answer is "no."

Artlantis is designed to create beautiful renderings simply and makes certain functional compromises to do so. It is a medium-level product. You can quickly achieve good renderings with Artlantis and it is a good teaching tool because of its simple interface and preview capability. However, to mention only two shortcomings:

-- Artlantis lacks the material surfacing sophistication that Max users can access.

-- its radiosity, while fast and beautiful, lacks control over "caustic" and other subtle light energy effects that the higher quality rendering applications have.

Best way to learn is to read Artlantis forum & test yourself a lot.
Here's a little artlantis R test i did recently using a mixture of artlantis shaders & external texture maps.
