The left wall is very dark but the furniture is very bright (im using a general light source with some recessed spots).
The ceiling looks better from my previous renderings but still...dont like it.
Any help is welcomed.

I am not a specialist but I guess that what is missing is radiosity (global
illumination). For such thing you (me too by the way) need artlantis R.
May be you can use a fake light source behind your windows (parrallel ray) such windows light in archicad. I am quite sure that specialist here will give you more information (I am also interested)
Cheers
Jean-Luc
PS: however me I like it without radiosity

- no color in lights! No such thing as white. Light has color: warm and cool.
- Should sun come in the window?
- compose scene to capture the eye: make scene interesting.
- light intensity generally too high.
- use light cone down instead of general light.
- use Undersun™ to brighten ceiling.
- make surfaces rougher and make no white surfaces.
- wall dark since oblique reflection from general light is poor.
More?: Get book.

if radiosity is possible with archicad 10 or will be possible
in archicad 11. May be I am wrong but the radiosity effect seems to solve
many problems ?

- radiosity does solve many problems, but takes a long time to render. Once you have the right solution in LightWorks, it is faster and can be pretty good. Lightworks requires a better understanding of light behavior.
- Type like wind. haha. I break the wind. Typical problem - typical answer. Just a paste-in.
- No improvement in 11. Leads to overuse of Emoticons.

- I should put color in the lights?
- Already used two window lights!
- Will try different light intensitys
- What do you mean about "rougher"?
- How do I resolve the darkness of the wall?
Your book is going to be difficult...I'm in Mozambique!

radiosity does solve many problems, but takes a long time to render- I guess this can be managed with less object. I will see with Artlantis R
US$115.00 is a bit expensive from my point of view. I am agree
to buy a good book about mathematics or physics but I am not sure that equations are explained in yours ?. A pdf version would be quite enough and probably cheaper. Till 70 $ I am agree but here I guess your publisher exaggerate. Mum don't be offended It is just my feeling
Best regards
