Pixel count greyed out, and inconsistent between files

The screen shot is from 2 different files.  Both created in with different AC versions (more than likely).  I want 300 pixels, which some files have, but some have 72.  In both cases the rendering size is the same and the pixel section is greyed out.  When I load each in Pixelmator the pixel size is what AC said it was.  Am I missing something somewhere else that governs this????  I want to save my web renderings at 144, not 72, so starting with 300 is great.

I am not sure why this greys out as you really need it to be able to influence the physical page (image) size.

Just change where is says "pixels" to 'inches" or "mm", then you can set the pixels per unit.

You can then set the physical size of the image you want, or change back to "pixels' and set the amount of pixels, which will alter the physical size.
