I checked in windows Task Manager and service that is automaticly started wit Archicad is named: Cinema 4D 23.200 (R23_dev). This service is taking 1036,9 MB. That amount is 1/3 or half ram usage Archicad 28.0.0. Componet. Personly I don't care, but for someone with less RAM or working on heavy project might be helpful...to be able turn off Cinama... service. At this moment I can't turn of or uninstall Cinema... service or Add-on. I know for what is it men't for - rendering. But onestly I didn't use this rendering engine for years since we have greate Twinmotion. So for me Cinema 4D..is RAM and CPU usless and is consuming unecessary resources. I end it in task manager and there is no probplem with AC use..till you try to do rendering, but even then AC will display mesage that your computer don't support Cineama and....that's it. You can restart AC and service will work again, so nothing bad is happening. That service optimization might me build in AC native.

Hm... the R32 C4D component takes up 300mb for me, which is like 10% of an empty file. Wonder why yours uses so much more...

I don't know why.
Currently, to get rid of Cinama 4D service, I use app that is called: "Process Killer" in file blacklist.txt you type: Cineware.exe
The advantage is that it sart with windows and... also use 0,1% of cpu but 1,5MB of RAM and kills any Cinema service that is starting with new copy of AC...but you can "Exit" from this app and AC will start with Cinema process.
