TEXTURES

Hi Fellow users.
How do I add (install) new textures to archicad?
Any special format required?

Thanks

This is a large topic.
Here is an outline:
1: Place new textures in a new folder.
2: Use the Library manager to add this folder to the Archicad Library
3: RELOAD the Library

Now, textures are available for use.

4: Open the Material Dialog
5: DUPLICATE the material
6: RENAME the material
7: In the Internal Engine mode, add and size the texture
8: Specify the Alpha channel effects
9: Switch to LightWorks Engine mode
10: Click "Match with Internal Engine" to bring the texture into LightWorks renderings.

Thanks Dwight

Is that the only way?
Sounds like a good bit of works if you have a few dozens to install.
I was hoping that I can grab some textures from Vectorworks, seem like I have to ditch the idea or do those I need as time goes on...
Thanks again.

I should want to make you do it the hard way for my own demonic purposes? So, yes, you whiner you, it is the only way if you have a bunch of images.

You can certainly get the texture images into the library all at once, but each material needs to be individually sized and named.

It is different when transferring from another Archicad file - then you import the material attributes all at once, but that was not your question.
