License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

A little project I'm working on. Critiques and comments are appreciated.

I like the view angle.

My main criticism would be that the whole front truss/roof structure looks like it's one object, all the wood grain is running in the same direction. And the border between the grass and the road is a little blurry, to start with I thought it was a weird shadow.

Thanks Tom!

I had to make the truss, custom, with the slab tool, but you make a good point. The grass and curb is also a "work in progress", as well as the landscaping. I am also having a problem with the shake siding turning diagonal on the inside corners of the entrance(see attached image).

..if you divide truss in seperate elements when modeling with slab, than you will be able to adjust texture direction for each one. Than group all and save as an object and you will be good.
Do you use combination of yellowish and bluish lights? It is too much yellow (unless you are aiming for sunset mood). Last thing - it might be inverted bumping in stone wall shader, or maybe just too weak
Keep posting, I'd like to see when you can get.

Ok, here is another try at it. It took about a day to model, a couple of hours to set up the scene, about 5 1/2 minutes to render, and then a few minutes to lessen the saturation and add some noise. Tell me what you think.

Good composition, and your lawn is now very suggestive, well done.
You might try to move the sun on 4 o'clock so part of the roof over entrace will cast shadow, to make it even more interesting.
Some variety in roof texture would also help.
Solid improvment mate.
