I have problem with light rendering. What's the brightness that I should set up for sun and light. Every time the image after I render is too bright. I try to change the brightness. BUT If I set up light brighness from dark, i cannot see any light source. If I set up the brightness from light even just a small number, the light is too bright. What should I do to make light looks more niture?

Brightness is set to the material not to the light, so set your material less bright. Now if your entire scene is overexposed, one trick is to be in Edit Light window then to click o the Expert button and move the Ambiance slider to the left (Attention this will have effet for the whole scene and for all the lights displayed).

Dear Ashley,

That's gonna be tough to answer you in the absolut. Try to make an attachment of an atl file and some screen captures of what you think's going bad about the brightness. I will check them. Please put your files in a folder and zip it.

Dear Alain Picard :
Here is one of the project that I am working on. I don't feel the light is very nature looking. I like the rendering that I can see the shadow and the light spot from the light. I know it's a lot to ask, but I really don't know how to make it work.

I have problem to attach the file. I'll try to E-mail you the file

Dear Alain,

sorry to get back so late. I didn't have artlantis to open the file. now I have the student version. WOW! It' s huge different than what I have before. now I see the point of rendering in the Artlantis.

If I need fly through, do you suggest use Artlantis or ArchiCAD?

I am just start learning to use Artlantis. One question that I have lighting, is if the light that I create from the ArchiCAD, the light will be very soft. But the light that I add in art.lantis is very sharp. The instructor told me that's because the light in ArchiCAD have lamp cover over the light, but the art.lantis light doesn't have lamp cover. how do I fix this problem, so the light won't look so silly
