material inconsistency

2 defined views photorender fine using Lightworks when viewed in the model.
Both are placed on a layout. One renders correctly, while in the other one shader reverts to plain colour (internal engine base colour).
Weird.
Ideas anyone?

it might help to give a bit more information - what is the material? is it a custom material or does it come with AC? which version of AC are you using? and post a jpeg of the problem - it might become more apparent if we understand the problem better...
