I am having dificulty in aligning a building with the photo. I have tried the align view method but it doesn't work. I have tried setting up the camera and details from the correct location that the photo was taken, but agian the buildings perspective is still all wrong, any help would be appreciated or pointers to other locations for help.
thanks
Nigel M

it is very difficult.
The quickest and easiest way i find is to put clingfilm over your monitor and trace with a staedtler lumocolor pen the lines of perspectives on to the screen (with a ruler), so that when you are rotating the model in archicad you can match the lines with your camera manually. It helps to mark where the site starts and ends so that you can scale the model correctly.
I know it sounds crzy but i got some good results using this technique.
It helps to model the adjacent buildings in blocks so that you have a point of reference.
