white surfaces reflecting colors: how to disable this?

hi everyone!

how do i make the white surfaces (the undersides of the balconies) in this scene not reflect the red color of the floor tiles? i would like them to be plain white

and another thing: how do i brighten up those shaded areas in the background?

thank you in advance!

You might want to make the sky blue too.

Well, unless the surface material has a reflectiong, specular or the like settings, that would be where I would look to fix the colour.

Are you sure it's not the brown sky rather than the pavement?

It's definitely the pavement color that's being reflected. i just changing the pavement color to white:

i found the solution! it's in the GI settings of the Surface (the red pavement). you can control the Saturation Levels of the generated GI of each Surface! i set it to 0 and voila!

the Surface still has GI effects on the surroundings but it's color won't be reflected on other surfaces

Mo Muk,

Thanks for posting back the solution, this will be useful for others in the future.

P.S. It would be useful for you to update your signature in your Profile to reflect the AC version you use.
