Center point from two points

The ability to create a central point from scratch.

For example, it could work like in AutoCAD. I want to draw a wall from the centre of a room. I select the tool, press ‘Alt’, choose the first corner of the room, press ‘Alt’ again and select the opposite point in the same room. The first point of my wall is now at the centre of the room.

At the moment, we have to draw  2D line. And it works, but it takes a long time.

No you don't.

You can draw a line and then delete it.

Or place an orange guide segment or use the temporary blue snap guides.

Or use this 'special snap point vector' tool that you can find in the 'Control Box' palette.

Another way:

1. Make sure "Snap Guides and Points" is enabled, and its "Divisions" option is set to "Half".

2. Hover your cursor over one corner, press Q to place Snap Guide Point (blue circle).

3. Hover your cursor over the opposite corner, press Q to place Snap Guide Point (blue circle).

4. Move your cursor near the middle point of the diagonal between the two. A Snap Guide will appear and its Half Point will be indicated.

5. Click the Snap Point at the half point.

Wow, that's even better than the AutoCAD method!!
I searched and asked Archicad's AI help, but it told me to draw a line and then delete it! It works, but it's too time-consuming.

Next time, I'll ask the question in the dedicated forum before rushing to make a wish.
