If has been highlighted that you can Reserve and Delete Design Option Sets without reserving all related elements. This in turn orphans said elements. This feeds into a broader issue with the Reservation System in ArchiCAD. You can open a tool's element settings, make changes, then press enter and it will close the dialogue as usual, except if you had not reserved the element, nothing will have changed... Why does it not lock all of the settings if it is not going to let you change them? If you try to use the Attribute Palette to import attributes by Index but have not reserved all related attributes, it will Append them if the index for that attribute type is in use... There was another spot that I have run into this issue, but it flees my mind at the moment...
If you can make changes in a dialogue related to something that is not reserved, it needs to not allow you to proceed or at least have an option to disable the ability to proceed. In some of these cases, such as tool dialogues, there should also be a reserve button on them, like so many of the other dialogues get when working in TW...
