My wish is to have dual screens with instant updating in Archicad. As far as I understand I have to click on the window on the other screen to update it. It would have been smoother to have an imediate update. As soon as I alter something in the plan view, it will automatically change in the 3D window and section/elevation.

Given that your imagined scenario was copy and pasting from a second window, it is basically the same wish as at the moment, clicking on a second window will cause it to update which could take a while depending on the View. This updating makes this already possible scenario time saving, meaning that this wish would make it much more viable.

I will not throw out the name of the software that I still use because I have multiple license of it. But I’ve used it since 1988 or 89. It always allowed multiple monitors at that time. It was two monitors and four views on each monitor. Over the time that evolved to up to four monitors each with four views on each monitor or up to four views that allowed me to look at two screens and connect a line from one corner of the property all the way to the other quarter of the property without ever panning back-and-forth or In-N-Out. So I would typically have a two screen set up and have either one or four views on either one of the monitors.

Everything was 100% life or is 100% live so when you drag a line you see that line dragging on all screens or views you have open. It is live there is no waiting for any update. It is all live. This is the same whether I’m dealing with the two dimensional drawing or the three dimensional drawing or a sheet with either of those items attached to the sheet. There’s a lot of things I love about Graphisoft however, this ability is a game changer. If you haven’t used it, you are dealing with the dark ages. It is very hard to believe that this is not a top priority because it was one of the most productive things I ever had in a CAD package it speeds up everything you do from 2-D drawings to details to sections to renderings to models everything as affected everything is sped up you never waste time doing something then going to another view to check it and then going to another view to see if it works there and moving around it speeds your process up eightfold. Out of all the suggestions that you make other than than some of the automation that we can have through artificial intelligence, that would be my priority for any update.

someone mentioned this as imaginary. I have been able to use around 1988. TWO monitors with up tp 4 views each. Now I can have op to for monitors with up to 4 views on each. tht is overkill. bur available for a long long time. And it is mt No. 1 for all features

imagine worming on a huge project one sceen showing the entire project HAS SEVEN OTHER VIEWS LOOING AT THE WHOLE SITE, PROJECT SIGLE BUILDING - SINGLE FLOOR AND ONE ROOM THEN THE TOILET. ALL VIEWS A THE SAME TIME

Can somebody from Graphisoft explain why this long standing wish (plus the other very important wishes with around 200+ votes) aren't even under consideration.. yet features nobody has ever raised or asked for are on the roadmap?

Is it a core issue with the development of the program that makes it too difficult to change? It would be good to understand and maybe ease the frustrations..

Hi Graphisoft Team,

We’d love to see dual‑monitor live synchronization/update support added to Archicad. This is the single most requested feature in our office, especially for workflows where model navigation and documentation editing need to stay visually aligned across displays.

Having two views update in real time—without needing manual refreshes or workarounds—would significantly improve productivity and reduce context switching during detailed coordination.

Hoping this can be considered for upcoming releases. It would make a meaningful difference for many of us.

This is a grave flaw as it immediate improves production. I would take this in place of every new things you have added the last two years, That is how valuable this is.
