Cutplanes in BIMx: Materials as Elements

Jochen Suehlo

Is it possible to give the horizontal or vertikal cutplanes in BIMx the same Building Materials as their elements?
It looks a bit silly when the cut surface is all one uniform mess.

Hi,

I think you can't do that with BIMx cutplanes.

Maybe you can save your 3d views created with marquee or 3D section plane in Archicad as BIMx format. This way you will have 3D sections that are not painted with BIMx cutplane color. Of course you won't be able to move them like BIMx section planes.

Hi there,

Yes, unfortunately this feature doesn't exist yet. It's a very common wish, and it's also on our roadmap.

That workaround which Sefa proposed works just well, even if it's not the most convenient solution.
