In android mobile/tablet, the model could be viewed with 3D cutplane. It's so strange this function could not be found in Bimx for windows system.

Hi all,

There seems to be some overlap in discussion between:
- BIMx Desktop Viewer (https://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/bimx/bimx_desktop.html)
and
- BIMx app (http://bimx.archicad.com/en/)

I believe that whilst BIMx Desktop Viewer will work on Windows devices including Surface Pros (if you put BIMx into Windows Mode as explained by 4DArchtiects) BUT the BIMx app will not.

This seem like an oversight as the Windows Surface Pro is a multi functional device that is intended to be used as a tablet just as much as a desktop.

Although it is great that you can run the BIMx Desktop Viewer it is missing a LOT of functionality that the BIMx app, especially their Pro version, offers.

BIMx is a valuable tool, especially as the Surface Pros don't have a GPU that conforms with ArchiCAD's minimum performance specifications. As a result although you can run ArchiCAD on a Surface, it is slow, laggy so BIMx is a good alternative to the full ArchiCAD software.

in short - ArchiCAD, sort this out and get the BIMx and BIMx Pro apps on Windows devices please!
