You have viewing options in the BIMx viewer.
You can switch to black &white there.

hmm. I don't see that option, on my ipad or in the browser viewer. Are you talking about the desktop app?

In the 3D view (On your iPad) click the three dots in upper
right corner> Settings> Shading.

Not sure why... but the model I tested on, "Black and White" is greyed out?

As Marc said for the iPad version.
There should be similar options in the desktop version as well.

I am not sure why it would be greyed out in Marc’s case, maybe how it was saved from ArchiCAD?
It is fine for the demo BIMx model.
I don’t have ArchiCAD with me at the moment to test anything.

OK, thanks, I see where you change that on the iPad. The web browser viewer does not appear to have that option. My real question is this: I published the 3d views from archicad with "white model with shadows" as the 3d style. This is what I want my client to see without having to give them any instructions. But the viewer apps, both browser and iPad/iPhone automatically default to another style with color. Even on the iPad, you can change the style, but you need to go back to settings every time you switch views. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a limitation of BIMx?

I believe the model with its original surfaces is saved from Archicad, and it does not save the 3D settings when saving as BIMx.
I can’t test at the moment until I am back from leave in a couple of weeks.
