License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

3d window export scale?

Anonymous
Not applicable
How do you know what scale the file will be at when you save out of the 3d window?

I would guess that if the 2d window is at 1/4 scale then the 3d would export at 1/4 scale?

However

I have exported using vrml, 3ds, and dwg.

I then imported into C4D and Rhino.

There is always a scale factor of 1.2

Meaning the house is 28' or 7" long at 1/4 scale.
But when I open it in any application it measures 8.5"

8.5/7 = 1.2 scale factor.

What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?

Try 39.37 as an export scale factor. AC's 3D window sometimes defaults to meters even though the project is in Imperial Units.

Jeff:

Also, when changing from Floor Plan to 3D Window, the menu command changes from Floor Plan Scale... to 3D Scale, where you can set the scale of the 3D Window. The View Settings for 3D images also has a scale setting.
