ARCHICAD & A SUN SHADING SOFTWARE

Is there an add-on or the like which ArchiCAD incorporates, to be used for sunshading? I'm currently on v11 and at the same time using an old freeware named Suntect, both used separately. Suntect is quite useful. one sets the window size and the size & frequency of vertical & horizontal sunshade, and quickly moving the sun/setting the time of the day (15min increment) to see if sunlight goes past the window or is blocked. however it isn't as accurate, and doesnt get the exact building model as drawn on AC.

I heard there was a software or add-on where ArchiCAD incorporates and is used to check the sunshading of a building. maybe it was just a rumour.

i know the "Create a Sunstudy" feature on ArchiCAD, but i was hoping to manipulate the model "on the fly", without creating the sunstudy everytime.

apologies if that made no sense

I think Ecotect has these features but it is not an addon.

Ecotect is a not an addon to any program. It was created by some university in England ( i think so) and i find it nice for sun calculation. I worked on it when doing my master degree.
But if you want to work on Ecotect, you have to do the model from the beginning regarding the zoning of the building.
