ArchiCAD 13 Schedules

I haven't heard anything about improvements in creating schedules, bill of material, etc... Has there been any progress in this area?

Sorry. Can't stop. One more.

I use View lists and Drawing lists to audit (and correct) view and drawing settings. For that, I display everything usually.

But, these new settings also give criteria for those indexes. (Not yet all of the possible criteria keys for Sheets, cannot specify "Missing" for a Layer Combination, etc yet, but hey this is huge progress.)

Another sort of unlikely example attached. The criteria shown would list all views in either the As-Built or Demolition view map folders which were not 1/4", which all are supposed to be in those folders. So, if any views are displayed (and I would display all view params including the scale), then I know there is an error.

(Another caution: If I had used the AND operator for the folders As-Built and Demolition, then there would never be any views displayed - no view can be in two folders at the same time.)

All for now.

Kudos Karl. Great examples from a nuts and bolts database guy.

Karl,

Thanks for going over this. For me this will make a big difference for my plans with the interactive schedule. While not noted in the press release as a productivity improvements, but it really is. Thanks again.

I just started working with the schedules in 13 and so far seems to be worth the subscription price. Still not perfect but much better with the graphical editing. Seems to show elevations at scale and at proper height relationship to one another. And lots of other things that will make life easier.

Have they added a field for "roof slope" yet when choosing the roof as a criterea?
I would love to be able to create a schedule that lists the areas for roofs based on their slope but so far up to version 12 it is not possible.
I did request to GS some time ago that they add this.
Barry.

Unfortunately, no.
I do not see such parameter in AC13.

OK, a last example before I take my congested head to bed:

Trying hard to come up with a back-story for why this might be a useful query...(not likely)... suppose you have a split level structure, so that stories 2 and 4 are offset from 1/3/5 and will be built and scheduled separately.

...

Cheers,
Karl
Or maybe your working on a commercial building TI that is on floors 1/3/5 and not 2 & 4.... But you've modeled the entire building..

You can use layer names and extentions for that too.
