ArchiCAD 17 to Max problem (*.3ds file export)

I have strange problem when trying to export 3ds file to Max. The geometry of the model seems to be just fine, but the visualization in the viewports is very difficult, flickering when rotating the model, I cannot work like this. The same model saved from ArchiCad 16 don't have any problems in Max. My friends told that have the same problem on their machines. Is there a solution for this, or every time I must save to v16 and then to 3ds?

Stoyan,

as a first step make sure that there are no elements far from the origin in the model. Such can cause problems in the 3D calculation, like on your screenshot.
- open a floor plan
- select fit in window
- try to remove any unnecessary elements that are far from the model (based on my experience usually fill handles and things like that can appear quite far, after bringing DWGs and such in)
- repeat this with all floors

Try to export to 3Ds to see the results.
