ArchiCAD on the iPad, iPhone and iTouch?

Since official details about the iPad came out I have been wondering about it as a laptop replacemnt for client presentations. The main drawback is that I would not able to view a 'live' 3D model on it (orbiting etc).
Someone had mentioned that VBE should be on the iPad - I agree (well a re-written one anyway)
Now Rhino has taken the lead.
Robert McNeel and Associates amazes! I hope they don't become Autodesk.

Karl i think the VNC you were thinking of is http://wormholeremote.com/ as i have looked at a few, it looks good because it uses the active window, rather than you having to navigate your full desktop....
Thanks for the link! That was it. Reading the reviews, though, it sounds pretty slow and buggy at the moment, so might try, might wait...

Cheers,
Karl
did you try logmein?

Rumour 'down-under' has it that Graphisoft are in beta-testing for an iPad version of VBE. It will be called something different, but it's not far away...

I wonder if there's any chance that there'll be an Android version for those of us not so Apple-inclined.

Jose Gemez seems to be working on something for Android.

in deed looks very promising - some thoughts:

1. how do you get data into it - let's hope facebook is not the only way;

2. how will it handle more complex models;

note the irony of the apple like promo videos...

when did we get 64bit on mac again?

It can read models from dropbox.com, open from an email attachment, or sync via drag and drop with iTunes. FB is just for sharing with the public AFAIK. The last bit seems like great marketing - people can get the free IOS app, and download free models from FB and see what kinds of things folks have done with ArchiCAD.

Not sure what the question is here? AC 15 on Mac is 64 bit (only)...

that was just a sarcastic response to the claims to graphisoft's mac development as spun in the developers video on facebook...

what i meant is that we had to wait about 4 years for 64bit support on macs - but better late than never... at least they now start to embrace the ipad.

How is it with larger models? Does it get laggy or do the file adjust based on the polygon count?

This is VERY exciting.
