"Maybe an option to either follow the raising line OR all the text should have the same angle and orientation as in step 1"

This can be easily achieved.
Let me summarize, two options:
1. it works as now (following the walking line)
2. enabling this option, all the text will behave like the first one (that one referring to the first step) that, of course, could be user customizable.

Could be ok in this way?

Yes of course. (if i can customize the text on the first step that is even better.)

Thx Again

In drawing there is always a reading direction. You must read the drawing from one direction. AC does follow that rule.
In my school they taught that all the text on the sheet should be legible when seen from the lower right corner.

All the text in ArchiCAD does follow that, except the rotated dimensions 😉

Hi Folks,

While we're on this informative topic, can someone please tell me how to make the background fill in Archistair transparent? I love the product except sometimes I find the process of tweaking and fixing the stairs to be non-congruent...as if it was created by ten or 15 non-related people doing thier ~own thing~...if you know what I mean.

All help is much appreciated...

Thanks

The background transparent issue has been implemented only in the last maintenance version.
You can get it from www.cigraph-store.com

If you have the correct sub-release (the last one is 1.05), simply follow what the attached image shows in order to get a "transparent" stair 2D symbol.

Hi

I am having a problem with ArchiStair in AC 9 , when I create a new stair using default information the stairs look fine, in both 2D & 3D. I then turn on rails in 2D the view it from story one or story two everything works great. The problem comes in when I try to offset the rails by -2" (as shown in the manual) stairs look fine on host story and 3D view. When I try to go up to the second floor AC locks up (stops responding). I tried ArchiStair on AC 8.1 no problems. I am using the latest updates of AC 9 and ArchiStair. Is there anyone else having this problem

Thanks in Advance
