Balustrade with Archistair 2

I want to make a Balustrade with a polyline to go along stairs and slabs, but i want it to be simple, with no posts, newels etc, just a wall with a tubular handrail on top.

See attached image.

Is it possible???

You could do it with profiled beams. You might have to use SEOs to get the joints right. (Of course there are also the usual add-ons.)

@Matthew: Thanks, but the point was to use Archistair.
@Fra: I know. The stair from the image i have posted is made with Archistair.
The problem is that the parapet wall is made with a gimmick... i used the stringers to make it.
Problem is that when you want to make a balustrade that goes on to several slabs and stairs, using a polyline there is not the option to use stringers. Just posts, rods and newels.

I was asking if it possible to create a balustrade made by a simple wall and handrail

this option would be great not only in archistair but in stairmaker as well. the best thing would be to have a profiled wall attached to the stair (not only for straight stairs but also for curved and complex ones ).

...ok, so there isn't the possibility to do it with Archistair either...
thanks TMA_80.

Hi Achille,

ok what I'm going to show you is just a workaround but at least it should work.
Create a new custom Handrail profile using two slab:
the first one circular (the real handrail)
the second one rectangular (the below panel)
save it and use it as custom handrail profile

the last tip: please choose as handrail head the horizontal option by leaving (as offset) just 1 cm.

Fabrizio, i couldn't create the custom balustrade as you suggested... i have created the two slabs as you suggested, but when i try to save (with the prefix HCP_ as says in the manual) i get the error message "Error loading file in Active libraries" see attached image.
Does it have anything to do with the fact that i'm creating the stair in a Teamwork shared project?

Mmmm, so I suppose.
Where are you saving this element?
Could you try to save it inside the server library?

Otherwise we need to fix this issue (you cannot save anymore the object where you want... it's, from my humble point of view, a real boring feature of the new TW 2)...
